Assessing the performance of servo drive feedback controls

In this paper a method for determining the dynamic behavior of servo drive controllers is provided. The damping and frequency of the closed velocity loop is estimated in order to assess the controller performance. The implementation in a standard industrial controller enables an online calculation without the need of further hardware
