Abstract

A critical element of the Silicon Vertex Tracker upgrade is a new Associative Memory (AM) ∼40 times larger than the existing one based on application-specific chips. The Associative Memory is the SVT module performing pattern recognition. We have developed a new Associative Memory board (AM++) to handle 128 application-specific chips. We describe the design, the tests, and the performances of the new AM++ for CDF
