\ud This paper presents and analyses the results of a quantitative\ud comparison of six priority assessment techniques (PATs) using a\ud sample of six schemes. The PATS were selected as a representative\ud sample of those currently in use in the UK (see Working Paper 230\ud and Technical Note 190).\ud \ud \ud The results reveal significant differences in the project\ud rankings between techniques, although these are reduced when\ud problem, solution, or problem and solution oriented PATs are\ud considered separately. The proportion of points allocated to\ud particular objectives for individual schemes varies widely\ud between PATs. Greater standardisation would probably be desireable
