Didattica sperimentale per un servizio sociale transculturale

Abstract

Le competenze professionali richieste agli assistenti sociali dalla societ\ue0 contemporanea includono la capacit\ue0 continua di ampliare il loro sapere, saper fare e saper essere, integrandolo con nuove specifiche abilit\ue0 nell\u2019ascolto e nella presa in carico di persone di cultura diversa. Una sperimentazione didattica realizzata all\u2019interno del corso di laurea in Servizio sociale dell\u2019Universit\ue0 di Palermo \ue8 andata nella direzione di promuovere, innanzi tutto, una consapevolezza della rilevanza di un sapere transculturale nella pratica professionale. Da questa esperienza didattica \ue8 emersa la proposta di inserimento nel piano di studi di una nuova disciplina professionale, per integrare stabilmente il percorso formativo con competenze transculturali, investendo sul potenziale di ampliamento della professione.The professional skills demanded to social workers by contemporary society inevitably include the capacity to apply knowledge, to know how to do, and to be able to take on new competencies that are appropriate for listening and taking care of people coming from different cultures. Teaching experimentation carried out as part of the syllabus of the Palermo University degree courses in Social Services has already been moving in the direction of promote, first of all, an awareness of the need for professional and trans-cultural knowledge. From this teaching experience there emerged a proposal for future academic years: to launch a new teaching approach that will consent one to integrate one\u2019s education with transcultural skills, whilst investing in the potential to enhance the profession
