Abstract

This unit covers the basics of numeracy, arithmetic and algebra which are required to support the food technology units and quantitative units in food chemistry as part of the Certificate in Food Manufacture. The student is encouraged to use quantities with both precision and accuracy;to manipulate simple algebraic expressions and to plot simple linear graphs
