David Severn (David Storr Unwin), Children’s Writer 1919-2010

Abstract

David Severn, who has recently died (12 February 2010) was a popular children's writer in the 1940s and 1950s. Stephen Bigger has deposited his body of work (30 books) on loan as a collection in the University of Worcester Historic Collections. The pdf attachment is a description and discussion of this collection. His work has rarely been described outside of short accounts in specialist encyclopedias. Each of his books is included in this survey. No book is currently in print
