Speech and language therapists and teachers working together: Exploring the issues

Research suggests that there are benefits for children and staff from joint\ud working between speech and language therapists (SLTs) and teachers. However,\ud differing models and a number of obstacles to successful joint working have\ud been identified. Using a survey design, this study aimed to: explore the\ud perceptions of school staff regarding a speech and language therapy service to\ud mainstream schools in one education authority; identify issues regarding the\ud components of current service delivery from the school staff perspective; and\ud explore how these perceptions may be used to contribute to future planning
