Monte Carlo calculation of the atmospheric antinucleon flux

Abstract

International audienceThe atmospheric antiproton and antineutron energy spectra are calculated at float altitude using the CORSIKA package in a three-dimensional Monte Carlo simulation. The hadronic interaction is treated by the FLUKA code below 80 GeV/nucleon and NEXUS elsewhere. The solar modulation which is described by the force field theory and the geomagnetic effects are taken into account. The numerical results are compared with the BESS-2001 experimental data
