The domains of educational technology in the field of healthcare

Abstract

Este artigo apresenta os resultados de um estudo que investigou a formação discursiva da Tecnologia Educacional e sua relação com o contexto histórico, político e social da reforma sanitária brasileira, por meio de uma análise do acervo do Núcleo de Tecnologia Educacional para a Saúde da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. Com base em noções teóricas da arqueologia de Michel Foucault, foram selecionados e analisados documentos que permitem identificar enunciados e avaliar as continuidades e descontinuidades discursivas que marcam a formação de domínios de saber acercada Tecnologia Educacional. Conclui-se que foram constituídos três domínios de saber – instrução programada, integração ensino-serviço e educação em saúde – que colocam em disputa diferentes enunciados e possibilitam a passagem de uma visão tecnicista para uma visão crítica comprometida com a construção do Sistema Único de Saúde.This article presents the results from a study that aimed to understand the discursive training of Educational Technology and its relationship with the historical, political and social context of Brazilian healthcare reform, by means of an analysis on the collection of the Healthcare Educational Technology Center of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, which was created in 1972. Based on Michel Foucault’s theoretical notions of archeology, documents that made it possible to identify pronouncements and evaluate the discursive continuities and discontinuities that characterized the formation of domains of knowledge on Educational Technology were selected and analyzed. It was concluded that three domains of knowledge were constituted: programmed instruction, educationservice integration and healthcare education. These bring into play different pronouncements and enable passage from a technical view to a critical view that is committed towards construction of the Brazilian National Health System
