Abstract

Purpouse of this work is tu summarize information about double bass and its evolution. First chapter is about historical conections between old types of string instruments and viola da gamba and braccio. Then about viola da gamba and its metamorfosis to double bass. Second chapter describes modern double bass, its construction and differences between its types. Double bass bow is described in third chapter. Also with its history and modern look.
