Figurative means and phrasemes in written publicistics

The topic of this bachelor thesis is the figurative language and the set expressions on the figurative basis set phrases in the written journalism. The work is divided into two parts. The theoretical part describes the functional styles and explains the set phrases and figurative appellation. The attention is paid especially to the functional publicistic style. The second part contains the analysis of analytic texts from the journal Mladá fronta DNES. The aim is to find out, how these means are used, what they serve for, which of them are frequented, whether they are used with understanding and how their updating happens
