Digital maps application in the State administration

Abstract

Geography and spatial data are part of our everyday life. The purpose of this thesis is to create an effective digital map processing system for a Municipal office, a system that would combine traditional ways of using maps with modern means of representation of spatial data. The first part of this work is focused on theoretical fundamentals of digital cartography. The second part is practical and describes development of geographic information system, which uses PUKNi2 system for manipulation with the data of a real estate register. The results of deployment and operation of this system have proved eligibility of the implemented solution
