Detection of eyes in facial images by means of Hough transform

Abstract

The thesis discusses the detection of eyes in facial images by means of Hough transform. It is dedicated in the necessary preprocessing of the image, especially in edge detection. Further it discusses the Hough transform itself and describes the method for detection of simple shapes such as lines and circles. Subsequently, the thesis illustrates the implementation of Hough transform for detecting circles along with an algorithm evaluating Hough space. The last part contains the results and an assessment of detection algorithm along with a discussion of utilization the Hough transform for detection of eyes in facial images
