CONTEXT:\ud Many methods of treatment\ud have been described for treatment of \ud haematoma auris\ud -\ud mainly surgical.\ud They have their limitations.\ud AIM:\ud To\ud devise\ud a\ud simple\ud , \ud sustainable\ud and\ud repeatable\ud method\ud of\ud treatment\ud for\ud haematoma auris.\ud SETTINGS:\ud Patients \ud presenting with haematoma auris have been treated with a new method of surgical treatment\ud . \ud Designed to overcome the limitations of already described methods\ud . \ud STUDY:\ud Retrospective \ud study\ud . \ud DESIGN\ud : \ud After incision and drainage of the haematoma\ud , \ud a sterile polythene tube is placed \ud in the cavity which acts like a stent and drain\ud and prevents reaccumulation of fluid.\ud RESULTS\ud : \ud All \ud the procedures resulted in good recovery\ud with cosmetic satisfaction\ud . \ud CONCLUSIONS\ud : \ud This \ud method is repeatable\ud , \ud less time consuming\ud , \ud not difficult to master and can be done as an \ud outpatient procedure
