Socio-economic effects of international migration: The example of Bulgarian migrants living in Görece Göçmen Konutlari (in İzmir)

Abstract

Çalışmada göç olgusunun tarihsel gelişim süreci ve Dünya toplumlarının bu süreçten etkilenme biçimleri gösterilmiştir. Göç türleri, göçün nedenleri ve ülkelere etkileri ayrıntılı olarak incelenmiştir. Türkiye'nin bir göç ülkesi olduğu ve tarihinin her döneminde göç olaylarıyla karşılaştığı vurgulanmıştır. Genelde, Türkiye'nin Cumhuriyet dönemi göçlerine değinilmiş, özelde ise 1989 Bulgaristan göçü açıklanmıştır. Türkiye, Cumhuriyet döneminde, yoğun göçmen kitlelerinin hedef ülkesi olmuştur. Göçmen kitlelerinin Türkiye'ye girişinin genellikle irade dışı olduğu belirtilmiştir. Türkiye kaynaklı göçlerin ise ekonomik amaçlı ve Avrupa yönlü olduğu vurgulanmıştır. Göç kararı alan bireylerin yaş ve cinsiyet bileşimi ile ekonomideki rollerinin önemi üzerinde durulmuş ve temel belirleyiciler olarak kabul edilmiştir. Gelen göçmenlerin sosyo-ekonomik etkilerinin analizi bu belirleyiciler ile açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. In this study, the development prosess of migration phenomenon and its effects on World?s societies are showned. Tyeps of migration, reasons and its effects on countries are examined in a detailed way. It is emphasized that Turkey is an a immigration country and there was always immigration to this country. Generally migrations after the founding of Republic are touched on particularly the Bulgarian Migration of 1989 is explained. Turkey, after the founding of Republique, is a target which most migrants choose intensively. It is explained that migrant masses enter Turkey unintentionally. And it is emphasized that migrations from Turkey have economical purposes and their target is Europe. The importance of age-sex combination and economic roles of migrant individuals are stressed and accepted as fundamental characteristics. The analysis of socio-economic effects of coming migrants is tried to be explained by those characteristics
