Belgian Soldiers and Dogs at Monument Circle

Abstract

The May 1, 1919 Indianapolis Star reported, “. . . every man, woman and child of Belgian blood in the city has promised to participate in the welcome which will be extended the Belgian Machine Gun Detachment. . . . The detachment consists of seven commissioned officers and 110 enlisted men, together with five teams of the famous Belgian war dogs which played an important part in the world war.”Appears in Destination Indiana 1 Appears in Big Screen Journey Welcome to Monument Circl
