Abstract
Indianapolis News photographer Wayne Guthrie captured the emotions of a crowd gathered in Indianapolis to celebrate the Japanese surrender to the U. S. and the end of World War II in 1945. People in the crowd hold up newspapers with the headline "Japanese Surrender."Exhibited as part of "Treasures from the Collections - Celebrating 175 Years: 1830-2005."
