Abstract

In 1942 Emmett Brown opened the Brown Studio at 3335 Hovey Street. It was billed as a "residential photographic studio" in a local newspaper, the "Indianapolis Recorder." By 1946 it was located at 808 Indiana Avenue. In 1953 Brown changed the name of his photography business to The Brown Show Case and opened shop at 417 Indiana Avenue.Destination Indiana Emmett I.
