Mrs. Paul V. McNutt

Abstract

Mrs. Paul V. McNutt (nee Kathleen Timolat) was photographed by Bretzman in 1928. At the time this image was taken, her husband Paul V. McNutt was a professor and dean at the Indiana University Law School in Bloomington. It was about this time that he was launching his political career; he was elected governor of Indiana in 1933 and served until 1937. Kathleen Timolat was from Texas and the couple met and married in San Antonio during WWI while Paul was in the army.This image is a preservation copy made from an unstable original nitrate negative. The image is part of Series III
