George A. Ball

Abstract

The W.A. McNaughton Company was put up for auction in 1934. Frank and George Ball of the Ball Brothers Company, who were already investors in the store, felt it was a needed institution that should not be sold to an outside chain. They bought the store and George was named its president. Two of Frank’s sons-in-law became officers -- Alec Bracken as secretary and Fred J. Petty as treasurer.Use of this image is restricted to projects related to Destination Indiana. IHS may not reproduce.Destination Indiana - Ball Department Stores Journe
