Abstract

Construction of the George Rogers Clark Memorial, part of the national park system, began in 1931 on the site of Fort Sackville by the Wabash River. President Franklin D. Roosevelt dedicated the memorial in 1936 in a ceremony attended by thousands.Destination Indiana Knox County Journe
