By A.H. Andrews

Abstract

Following the opening of the Opera House some changes had to be made in seating. The original seats were taken up and were replaced by more cmfortable ones. The seats were also raised to create better views. This bid from A.H. Andrews & Co. on Pennsylvania Street offers 138 chairs with spring seats for six dollars each. The style shown in the letterhead has a seat that holds hats underneath and can also store umbrellas or canes. [1883]Appears in Destination Indiana 71
