In this project we investigate and analyse how business women are being portrayed in Berlingske Business. In doing so we make use of Robert Entman’s theory on framing and several theorists within gender theory. Furthermore we use theory concerning the portrait as a specific genre within journalism. Our analysis takes hold in a sample of eight portraits from Berlingske Business, which we have selected on the basis of some specific criteria. From the analysis we discover that some specific gender stereotypes often arise in the portraits of business women. We use the awareness of these stereotypes when we produce our own portraits of business women. Based on our own por-traits we discuss the area of tension between writing our portraits in agreement with journalistic ideals and also being aware of the gender stereotypes
