WeCamp. Planlægning af camps til Roskilde Festival – facilitering af kontakt, information & samarbejde

By Anders Gyrup Larsen, Kim Kenneth Larsen and Flemming Damsgaard Andersen

In this paper, we explore the possibility of designing a digital solution for those planning a camp at the annual Roskilde Festival. The solution we propose, has three main focus areas: contact between campers, information regarding camping and tools which support collaboration and socializing during the planning process. First we define our intended users and other stakeholders. Then we consult veteran campers and explore the pros and cons of existing best practice solutions. We then define use cases, intending to test a prototype on both camp creators and campers looking to join an existing camp. We then look at usability and prototyping, before asking intended users to thinkaloud. Afterwards we modify the prototype in response to the tests, before looking at tools, which we argue would support collaboration and socializing between camp members during the actual campplanning process. In conclusion, we evaluate our methods and findings, before suggesting the next logical steps
