Effects of the Physics Characteristics on the Vigor of Lima Bean Seeds

Abstract

富農'白仁種'萊豆種子依重量將種子分為四級,小於lg種子之平均發芽天數為2.4天,顯著早於其它重量種子,1.25g以上種子萌芽率顯著提高10%以上,種子播於泥炭土或5cm播種深度顯著延長平均萌芽天數,1.25~1.75g種子萌芽後地上部及地下部表現均佳。大於1.50g種子萌芽力顯著高於1.25g以下之種子,單位子葉橫切面積之萌芽力,以小於1.0g顯著高於其它重量之種子。'Pai-Ren' lima bean seeds were graded into four classifications by seed weight. The mean germination day of >1.0g seeds was 2.4 days. The seeds weight over 1.25g significantly increased 10% emergence percentage. The mean emergence days were significantly extended when seeds were sowed in peat or in 5cm depth. The seedling growth of 1.25~1.75g seeds were better than those of the small seeds. The emergence forces per cotyledon area of 1.0g seeds were significantly higher than those of others
