A Educacao Fisica em Espanha De Amoros as Escuelas de Entrenadores

Abstract

In this research, an historical and methodological perspective is developed, in order to analyse the main personalities, institutions and currents that idealized and influenced, as well as planed and accomplished, the education of teachers of physical education and sports in Spain from .... to 1975. This period corresponds to the emerging of the first influential and internationally significant "school" in the historical perspective (Amoros) and to the end of the political-administrative centralism (beginning of the autonomous regions). Given to the heterogeneity of actions, as well as to the variety and dispersion of schools or pedagogical currents (political, militaries, religious, or just connected to sport federations) a chronological sequence was adopted, although trying to inter-relate them and understand mutual influences. A special importance is given to the escuelas de entrenadores (schools of coaches) in the context of sport federations, that became a specific and original phenomenon in Spanish physical education, because of their structure, method and unequivocal influence in the teaching process and development of sport, either in the federation and in the school, context. The method used in the research is a descriptive and analytical one, based on various sources directly collected, and by document investigation.
