Densidade e viscosidade de sistemas homogeneos.

Abstract

This work is concerned with the study of commercial mechanical oscillator densimeters and their applications in homogeneous systems density measurements, with a precision and an accuracy required for the scientific work. A glass cell, Dma 55 of an Anton Paar densimeter, was calibrated, at atmospheric pressure, between 298.15 and 323.15 K, with water, cyclohexane, toluene, benzene and vacuum. A new working equation for this type of apparatus, which allows the determination of the liquids density with an accuracy of 0.015% is proposed. Using this cell measurements of the density of #alpha#-pineno, #beta#-pinene and #alpha# pinene + #beta# pinene mixtures were made, in the same temperature range. A stainless steel cell Dma 512, coupled to an Anton Paar densimeter Dma 60, was also calibrated, from atmospheric pressure to 20 MPa, with sulfur hexafluoride and toluene, between 293 and 403 K, with iso-octane between 263 and 323 K and vacuum in both temperature ranges. With this cell the density of 1-chloro-1,1-difluoroethane (HCFC 142 b), between 293 and 403 K and pressures up to 18 MPa, and of a mixture composed by 60% of this compound and 40% of mono chlorodifluoromethane (HCFC 22), between 300 and 370 K and pressures up to 20 MPa, were measured, with an accuracy of 0.08% in the liquid phase and 1% in vapour phase...Available from Fundacao para a Ciencia e a Tecnologia, Servico de Informacao e Documentacao, Av.
