THE PECULIARITIES OF EXPRESSION OF THE P-450 CYTOCHROME ISOFORMS, ACTIVATING PROCANCEROGENES OF DROSOPHILA

Abstract

The genetically different lines of D.melanogaster and D.simulans have been used for investigation. The work is aimed at studying the peculiarities of regulation of the expression of the P-450 cytochromes isoforms, metabolizing the cancerogenes of the Drosophila lines, different in basal activity of the microsome monooxygenases. The theoretical importance is in the revealation of the basal expression and induction peculiarities of the different P-450 sytochrome isoforms of the Drosophilas resistant and sensitive lines, being under the action of inductors of the different classes, including the insects' hormones. The practical importance of the work in in the construction of the lines of D.melanogaster, to be fitted for the PAU screening and aromatic amines, and complex mixtures, containing these substances as well. The resulst of the work can have a great importance for optimization of the monitoring of the ambient air genotoxic contaminations.
