Ecological and epizootological significance of gadflies (diptera, tabanidae) and application of biological ways of struggle with them

Abstract

The object of investigation: the gadflies (Diptera, Tabanidae). The pathogenic and saprophytic mico- and microflora of the gadflies has been studied, the most perspective strains serving for regulation of their number have been revealed. Under the conditions of the Kirghizstan the places of the procreation have been determined, and the terms of the development of the mature grubs of the gadflies of the nine species and five kins have been followed up. A perceptibility of the grubs to bacteria of group Bac. thuringiensis has been studied. The results of the investigations can find a practical application in the development of the biological methods of struggle with the gadflies.
