RESONANT HYPERCOMBINATION SCATTERING OF LIGHT IN CdS CRYSTAL

Abstract

The phenomenum of the multiphonon resonant hypercombination scattering (THCS) has been recorded in experiment with participation of the longitudinal optical vibrations. The prevalence of the uneven scattering orders has been discovered in the THCS spectra that has been interpretated as a display of the special features in the Frelich mechanisms in the electron-phonon interaction. The resonant amplification of the HCS intensity on the optical phonons of the CdS crystal in the conditions of the two-photon resonance of the excitating radiation with 2R excitons has been investigated. THCS on the phonon polaritons in the crystalline media has been recorded firstly. The significant increase of the scattering intensity and also the change in the frequency of the polaritons participating the scattering has been discovered at approximation of the doubled energy of the excitating radiation quants to the width of the forbidded zone. The universal HCS spectrometer has been created.
