Abstract

On the base of the comparative analysis of the cytological mechanisms of the morphogenetic processes of the three species of sea cucumbers (the Far East trepang, Japanese cucumaria and Fraudatrix eupentacta), the interconnection of the different types of morphogeneses, the origin and statement of the regenerator phenomena and its mechanisms in onto- and phylogenesis of the sea cucumbers have been revealed. For the first time it has been shown, that the main cellular mechanisms of regeneration of the echnoderms are the dedifferentiation, migration and proliferation of the specialized cells. The development, growth and regeneration of the muscles take place smoothly, due to the myogenic transformation of the coelomic epithelium cells; the coelomic epithelium represents a system with the large histoblastic potentiations; the regeneration is not uniform by its origin.Available from VNTIC / VNTIC - Scientific & Technical Information Centre of RussiaSIGLERURussian Federatio
