Ecological consequences of disastrous breaches in dark-coniferous forestes of baikal biospheric reserve

Abstract

The work is concerned with the ecological systems of dark-coniferous taiga in Khamar-Daban range and south-east coast of Baikal lake. The aim is to develop the parametrization conception for multidimensional study of the forest ecological systems and to determine the ecological state of Baikal's forestes after action of the disastrous processes. The method for complex evaluation of the dark-coniferous taiga state in the conditions of technogenic loads has been proposed. The intra-year, inter-year and long-term dynamics of disastrous processes and timber stand growth and state dynamics connected with them has been traced. The ecological tracing bases of the particularly dangerous phenomena in the Baikal's natural complexes recommended to use in the complex forest management of protected territories have been laid. The subject chart series of reserves and adjoining territories have been put into the practice for complex forest management of 11 reserves an national parks. The author's approaches have been used at developing a number of the legislative acts on the nature protection and rational use of the natural resourcesAvailable from VNTIC / VNTIC - Scientific & Technical Information Centre of RussiaSIGLERURussian Federatio
