MATHEMATICAL MODELLING FOR STATIC OPERATION OF CONCRETE DAMS TAKING CONTINUITY BREACHES AND ELASTIC-PLASTIC OPERATION OF MATERIAL INTO CONSIDERATION

Abstract

The investigation objects are the concrete dams on the rock bases. The aim is to analyse the "concrete dam-rock base" complex taking continuity breaches and elastic-plastic properties of the material into consideration and to develop the corresponding design method. The mathematical models for contact interaction of the blocks and also the model for deforming of the continuous blocks have been developed. The algorithms and computing complex realizing the proposed models have been created. The methods giving the qualitatively new information about behaviour of the structures having different continuity breaches have been developed on base of the finite element method.
