Numerical modelling of natural convection of dust-laden gas

Abstract

Suspensions of matter in gas are investigated in the paper aiming at the development of the numerical method for the problem solution of heterogeneous medium mechanics, which is effective for the modelling of suspensions of matter in gas with big gradients of the particle concentration. The numerical investigation of natural convection laws for dust-laden gas by this method is also the aim of the paper. As a result the numerical method for the problem solution of heterogeneous medium mechanics, in which the modelling effectiveness for regoins of big gradients of the suspension concentration is achieved due to the introduction of the microparticle notion into the description of a disperse phase, has been developed. The program complex for the calculation of the motion of suspensions of matter in gas has been elaborated.
