APPLICATION OF RESONANT AND PARAMETRICAL NON-LINEAR EFFECTS FOR SOUNDING OF ATMOSPHERE

Abstract

Some regularities arising at propagation of the power laser pulses in the extended gas media in the conditions of non-coherent interaction (with use of the vibrational-rotational band as a resonant transition) have been studied. It has been shown that the laser sounding methods based on applying non-linear saturation effect of the resonant absorption permit to determine simultaneously the parameters of the gas and aerosol medium components. The developed method for remote sounding of the gas atmosphere composition, based on the differential methods and using the effect of the forced combination scattering permits to increase the sounding distance and signal/noise relation in comparison with traditional method of the differential absorptionAvailable from VNTIC / VNTIC - Scientific & Technical Information Centre of RussiaSIGLERURussian Federatio
