Optimization of temperature conditions of manufacturing and cyclic thermal treatment of carbon-plastic reflectors

Abstract

The investigation is concerned with residual stresses in the casings of carbon-plastic reflectors at different curing conditions. The author has developed the procedures for investigation of residual stresses of laminated composites, has determined temperature conditions of curing and additional thermal treat-ment ensuring the minimal level of residual stresses in carbon-plastic reflectors. The author has given recommendations on the procedures for manufacturing carbon-plastic reflectors meeting high accuracy requirements.
