Structural peculiarities and processes in near-the-contact zone during diffusion welding of nikel and its alloys

Abstract

In the paper nikel, armco iron and permalloy were investigated with the aim of study of the peculiarities of structure, distribution of deformations in the local zone of surfaces contacting and development of recommendations for optimization of the modes of formation of joints during the diffusion welding with due regard for the structural peculiarities of the surface after various kinds of pre-treatment. As a result the ideas about the processes in thin near-the-surface layers which determine the kinetics of the formation of diffusion joint were developed as well as some practical recommendations for the welding of the accelerometer sensors from permalloy. The results were introduced into practice and the quality of the weldedjoint was improved.
