EFFECTS OF CRYSTALLINE FIELD IN COMPOUNDS RE-TR*002Si*002(RE - RARE EARTH, TR - TRANSIENT METAL); INVESTIGATION BY A METHOD OF NON-ELASTIC NEUTRON SCATTERING

Abstract

The work is devoted to the actual problem on the physics of the Kondo-systems: influencing the hybridization interaction of the rare earth localized f-electrons and conduction electrons on the effective potential of the crystalline field. The experimental determination results of the crystalline field parameters in a number of the isostructural tripple compounds of series (1-2-2) have been stated. Among investigated compounds are eight antiferromagnetics with different rare earths and transient metals and the compound with intermediate valency YBCu*002Si*002. The comparative analysis of the crystalline field potential in the investigated compounds and in the earlier studied system with heavy fermions CeCu*002Si*002 shown that the hybridization renders the very strong action on the crystalline field and the latter, can serve the information source about hybridization processes.Available from VNTIC / VNTIC - Scientific & Technical Information Centre of RussiaSIGLERURussian Federatio
