The work covers the air basin and adjoining media of t.t. Apatiti, Kirovsk and Koldor subjected to the action of the atmospheric effluents from enterprises of the mining industry. The basic regularities of forming contamination levels of the atmospheric air with the heavy metals and strontium, their seasonal dynamics in the conditions of functioning enterprises of the mining industry in town limits have been determined. The legitimation of using natural indication methods for study in the spatial distribution of the metals on the urbanized territories in the polar conditions and also possibility of their interchangeability have been shown. The regularities on the spatial heterogeneity of the concentration fields of the contaminating substances in the natural objects of the urbanistic medium have been determined.
