Entwicklung von Normallampen fuer das UV-B-Messprogramm

Abstract

Standard UV lamps are needed for calibration and recalibration of spectroradiometers used for characterization of soil-near solar UV-B radiation in the frame of the BMBF ozone research programme. In a test program for selection of suitable lamps, 13 different types of lamps have been measured and their operation conditions have been optimized. As a result, two lamps are proposed as normals: FEL 1000 W-120 V-T6 (Osram/Sylvania) and CX2 1500 W (General-Electric / Thorn). Rules are provided for the handling and operation of these standard lamps. Development work for further lamp design improvement is in progress.
