Abstract

The activities of Phase 0 from November/December 1991 of the project ''Preliminary Development Transpiration Cooling for Rocket Engines'' in accordance with a MBB tender of October 1991 included the following three main tasks: 1. definition of project objectives and specifications, introduction into the subject matter, management of subcontractors, project organization and control; 2. literature and patent search into materials, structural designs, state of the art (preliminary study MAG Grimma); 3. literature search into the heat transfer during transpiration cooling. The present final report contains the relevant engine data and the first mathematical model concepts for an analytical investigation of transpiration cooling.
