Abstract

The dynamical behaviour of structures on soil is influenced by the baseplate-soil interaction. For the characterization of such interactions a calculation method was used which is based on a simple coupling of the structure with the soil by means of the substructure technique. Substructure behaviour of the soil in boundary value problems is also calculated for the interaction of neighbouring structures. Calculation results obtained on material models (truncated cone model) are compared with experimental results, and differences between theoretical and experimental results are discussed.
