Abstract

In this work the authors calculate the probability of ionisation of the hydrogen atom in reflection from the surface of lead. In addition, special attention is given to the process of excitation of the atom in the first order of the perturbation theory having the asymptotics W"("1") #approx# (#DELTA# #nu#)"2 reaching the region of low velocities taking into account the small multiplier (#DELTA# #omega#/q)"2, where #DELTA# #omega# is the difference of the excitation energy and the energy of the plasmon, is transferred to the effective asymptotics W"("1") #approx# (#DELTA# #nu#)"4Translated from Russian (Fiz.
