Jaap Weijand (1886-1960) en de kleurbreking van het licht

Painter Jaap Weijand, born in Amsterdam in 1886, first worked in the luminist movement, was a foreman of the Moderne Kunstkring (later the Nieuwe Kring), moved to Bergen where he developed his own style of expressionist/cubist painting, aka the Noordhollands Expressionism or Bergense School. Excelled as a painter of portraits, landscapes and still lifes, also famous for his leaded glass windows. Weijand deceased in 1960
