PROGRAMMING AND APPLICATION OF PLC DEVICES

Abstract

Rad prikazuje evoluciju automatizacije kroz povijest, kao i prikaz suvremene opreme i način programiranja PLC uređaja. Današnji automatizirani sustavi produkt su civilizacijskog i tehničkog razvoja čiji su najznačajniji događaji, vezani uz temu rada, kronološki obrađeni. PLC uređaji nastali su sredinom dvadesetog stoljeća kao zamjena za relejne sustave. Fleksibilni, programabilni i otporni na buku, vibracije, razlike u temperaturi i slične pojave, pokazali su se kao idealni za rad u industrijskim uvjetima. Stoga je njihova primjena danas izuzetno široka. Uređaj ciklički obrađuje ulazne digitalne ili analogne signale na osnovu kojih se pomoću programskog koda zadaju naredbe aktuatorima. Jedan od vodećih svjetskih proizvođača PLC opreme je Siemens. Uz opis Siemens hardverskih komponenti prikazan je primjer izrade programa u TIA Portal softverskom alatu. Današnji softverski programi omogućuju simulaciju i uvid u ponašanje procesa prije nego bude proveden u praksi, što omogućuje korekcije u radu i uklanjanje mogućih pogrešaka na vrijeme. Prikazani primjer programskog koda opisuje kontrolu procesa proizvodnje s dvije pokretne trake pomoću fotoelektričnih senzora.The paper shows the evolution of automation through history, as well as a presentation of modern equipment and the way of programming PLC devices. Today's automated systems are the product of civilizational and technical development whose most significant events, related to the topic of work, are chronologically processed. PLC devices are founded in the mid-twentieth century as a replacement for relay systems. Flexible, programmable and resistant to noise, vibration, temperature differences and similar phenomena, they have proven to be ideal for work in industrial conditions. Therefore, their application today is extremely wide. The device cyclically processes input digital or analog signals on the basis of which commands to actuators are given using program code. One of the world's leading manufacturers of PLC equipment is Siemens. Along with the description of Siemens hardware components, an example of program development in the TIA Portal software tool is shown. Today's software programs provide simulation and insight into the behavior of the process before it is implemented in practice, which allows corrections in the work and the elimination of possible errors on time. The program code example describes the control of a two-lane production process using photoelectric sensors
