An evidence-based approach to health promoting schools

By Marita Lynagh, Janice Perkins and Margot Schofield

Abstract

Lynagh, Perkins, and Schofield discuss the health promoting school (HPS) approach, which provides opportunities for action directed at improving the school's policies and environment, and enhancing links with the family and wider community to maximize potential contributions to better health. They outline a logical and systematic framework for planning, developing, and evaluating the HPS approach to address evidence-based practice issues
