Migration of health care workers

Abstract

This bachelor thesis analyses issues of migration of medical staff members. The aim of this study is to identify the causes of migration and migration turnover in 2012. In theoretical part of this study is described general issues of migration and evolution of public health in Czech Republic after 1989. Further in the study is described remuneration of medical staff members. Practical part focuses on legislation related to this issue including all the necessary papers. This study shows as well potential number of migrants, its structure in 2012 and destinations. The study denies all thesis about shortage of medical staff members in Czech Republic and insufficient qualification of incoming medical staff members. Data for this study were collected from relevant literature and public statistics. This study is exceptional by its narrow concentration on 3 concrete professions and analyzed turnover were never systematically described by any institution in Czech Republic
