PERPADUAN MUSIK TRADISI JAWA DENGAN STRING ORCHESTRA BARAT : STUDI AKULTURASI MUSIKAL KOMUNITAS SA'UNINE STRING ORCHESTRA

Abstract

Music is a part of culture. One type of music that worldwiding is string orchestra western music. The music is filled with rules for disciplining both the musicians and spectators. Sa'unine community, which is a string orchestra music community trying to present these patterns with new and different ways like never before in Indonesia is by lifting the concept of musical acculturation. Embodiment of the idea expressed by making arrangements of traditional Javanese song and the concept of their performances. Arrangements are made by Sa'Unine combining between tradisionaal Javanese music and western music string orchestra. This research was conducted to answer the question of how the elements of music and music string orchestra western Indonesian tradition reflected in the song arrangements Tak Lela Ledung and Dolanan Pizzicato?, How Sa'Unine community realizing the acculturation string orchestra western music andl traditions music of Indonesia in performance practice?, And also, how the Javanese musical concepts and western string orchestra musical concepts combined by Sa'Unine community? Both songs are appointed as the main focus for the music elements that match between Java culture and string orchestra musical elements contained in there. Research methodology is a qualitative research method. The data be acquired from interviews, literature studies, and observation of participation in the activities they have done. Interview itself will be aimed at Sa'unine founder who also arranger track Tak Lela Ledhung and Dolanan Pizzicato, five senior musicians and casual musicians Sa'Unine and one person is included in the management team of Sa'Unine. Own observations started in 2010 by researchers. In the end, researchers found that the study results show how the systems work done by the system of Sa'Unine collective work. The system of collective work done by Sa'Unine in the rehearsal process when it will enter the recording studio, otherwise the system was also carried out work on the concept of performances where Sa'Unine not use the full scenario and create interaction between the audience and the musician. These systems work done by mainly by gamelan ensemble in which the system garap, pengrawit be free to determine a variety of things related to the show that they want to display
