<Original Papers>Viscosities of Liquid Fe-Co Binary Alloys


The viscosity measurements were made by the oscillating crucible method of the liquid Fe-Co binary alloys at temperatures between their melting points and 1750℃. The experimental results are as follows : [numerical formula] The isothermal curve of the viscoity in the binary alloy shows the maximum at about 50 at% Co. By comparing this phenomenon with some of the other physical properties, this maximum was attributed to the presence of the short range order in the liquid
