سياسة الجمهورية الاسلامية الايرانية تجاه افريقيا في عهد حكم احمد نجاد ‫‪political,‬‬ ‫‪securityandstrategiclevel,‬‬ ‫‪and‬‬ ‫‪itsobjectivesinthese‬‬ ‫‪activitieswhich‬‬ ‫‪isthe‬‬ ‫‪basic‬‬ ‫‪foundationfor‬‬ ‫‪thesoftpower‬‬ ‫‪of‬‬ ‫‪Iran.The‬‬ ‫‪case‬‬ ‫‪of‬‬ ‫‪Iran’s‬‬ ‫‪outreach‬‬ ‫‪to‬‬ ‫‪Africareveals‬‬ ‫‪a‬‬ ‫‪four-‬‬‫‪stage‬‬ ‫‪approach‬‬ ‫‪by‬‬ ‫‪which‬‬ ‫‪Iran‬‬ ‫‪is‬‬ ‫‪attempting‬‬ ‫‪to‬‬ ‫‪build‬‬ ‫‪and‬‬ ‫‪exploit‬‬ ‫‪its‬‬ ‫‪soft‬‬ ‫‪powerthrough‬‬ ‫‪culture,‬‬ ‫‪diplomacy,‬‬ ‫‪economics,‬‬ ‫‪and‬‬ ‫‪defense.‬‬ ‫‪In‬‬ ‫‪attempting‬‬ ‫‪to‬‬ ‫‪expand‬‬ ‫‪influence,‬‬ ‫‪Iran‬ encourages‬‬ ‫‪and‬‬ ‫‪exploits‬‬ ‫‪cultural‬‬ ‫‪ties,‬‬ ‫‪conducts‬‬ ‫‪frequent‬‬ ‫‪high-level‬‬ ‫‪diplomatic‬‬ ‫‪exchange,‬‬ ‫‪also‬‬ ‫attempts‬‬ ‫‪to‬‬ ‫‪expand‬‬ ‫‪economic‬‬ ‫‪relationswith‬‬ ‫‪the‬‬ ‫‪African‬‬ ‫‪states,‬‬ ‫‪and‬‬ ‫‪lays‬‬ ‫‪the‬‬ ‫‪groundwork‬‬ ‫‪for‬‬ ‫‪future‬‬ ‫‪cooperation‬‬ ‫‪in‬‬ ‫‪defense.‬‬ ‫‪Thus,Iran’s‬‬ ‫‪activity‬‬ ‫‪in‬‬ ‫‪Africa‬‬ is‬‬ ‫‪a‬‬ ‫‪model‬‬ ‫‪of‬‬ ‫‪their‬‬ ‫‪strategic‬‬ conduct‬‬ ‫‪that‬‬ ‫‪allows‬‬ ‫‪better‬‬ ‫‪understanding‬‬ ‫‪of‬‬ ‫‪Iran’s‬‬ ‫‪foreign‬‬ policy‬‬ ‫‪pattern‬‬ ‫‪of‬‬ ‫‪behavior‬‬ ‫‪and‬‬‫‪its‬‬ ‫‪bilateral‬‬ ‫‪relations‬‬ ‫‪in‬‬ ‫‪other‬‬ ‫‪regions‬‬ ‫‪of‬‬ ‫‪the‬‬ ‫‪world.‬
